ABOUT
DCP CONNECTS is a performance company comprised of young artists who demonstrate exemplary understanding, commitment and passion for dance.
DCP CONNECTS strives to propagate the growth of concert dance as a medium for community engagement, outreach, personal development and performance. We believe the dance arts provide the opportunity to connect and deepen our understanding of ourselves and others.
As a member of DCP CONNECTS, dancers are expected to dedicate themselves to its mission in addition to rehearsals, performances and required class study. All company members are required a minimum study of three ballet classes as well as a modern and jazz technique class.
Some of our prospected experiences for the 2019-2020 season include a site-specific installation, performance and lecture demonstrations for local events and collaborations with local artists as well as DCP performances. We are very excited to announce that DCP CONNECTS will be working on a project with Shana Simmons Dance!
DCP CONNECTS at WDW!
Last season CONNECTS artists produced a performance event, had opportunities to create their own work, performed for a senior home, worked with guest teachers and performed at Walt Disney World for a full house! The picture above was taken during a private master class. They were extremely surprised when Goofy showed up!
